Change is on its way now. Nothing's staying where it used to be. Can't you feel things moving? Never where we'd thought we'd ever be. Disruption Song. No point in holding Onto old plans. You know they've got to go. Ain't no time for hes-i-ta-tions Take a breath 'cuz Life don't give no second chances. Countdown is on The ground is shifting Countdown is on Momentum's taking us Countdown is on The world is tipping 4,3,2,1. Who knows which way this will play? Hold on to the truth In the eye of the storm, there is calm In the eye of the calm, there is change. Ahhh.

One day Starting from this day. Take it to a better day Where freedom will ring. This time Different from the last time. Have to take us to a new time Where freedom will ring. Gonna dream a dream. Gonna make it happen. Gonna make a change and gonna start it right here. Gonna dream a dream. Gonna make it happen. Gonna make a change and gonna start it right here. Only we can free each other. Won't you help us sing freedom? One time Gonna turn our backs on bad times. And the monuments to past crimes So freedom can ring. No time To wait until sometime. No waiting for a clear sign That freedom can ring. Gonna dream a dream. Gonna make it happen. Gonna make a change and gonna start it right here. Gonna dream a dream. Gonna make it happen. Gonna make a change and gonna start it right here. Only we can free each other. Won't you help us sing freedom?

I might be stupid but I'm not dumb. I can see for miles where you're coming from. I know that your smart. I can see your spark. You take away the hours to take away the dark. Saving up the moments. Try to line them up by size. Measuring the space between clever and wise. Take the loss, to see what's to gain. I've been here before but everything's changed. Fall back. Bide you're time when The going gets tough, wait for the signs then Fall back. Bide your time when, The road's looking rough, wait for the signs then Fall back. Bide your time when The troubles look enough, wait for the signs then Spring ahead. Take a step forward, take one step back, Don't Get ahead of yourself. The world just stays on it’s track. One step back, one step ahead. Sometimes the early bird can let the worm stay in it’s bed. Telling times. Do they amount to anything? Sometimes I'm not so sure. but some times are everything. Take the loss, to see what's to gain. I've been here before but everything's changed. Fall back. Bide you're time when The going gets tough, wait for the signs then Fall back. Bide your time when, The road's looking rough, wait for the signs then Fall back. Bide your time when The troubles look enough wait for the signs then Spring ahead. Old Georgie, looking down lost in thought Old Georgie, doesn't want the days to stop. Old Georgie, looking up has the thought You can take from the bottom and add it on top. Hey Georgie! Hey Georgie! Hey Georgie!

Back then they called me Lucky They called this town that too. First time luck don’t go that far This town changed too. The history of this city Like truth too often bent. The names been changed, fact rearranged to cast us innocent. I learnt how to press my luck to see what it would do. This place left me to pull my fate through. Before you meet me, I’ll have your portrait drawn. Last time you lay eyes on me, I’ll be long past gone. I watch the world around me, Like Balzac in his time. My dreams my only fortune, my thoughts my only crime. They called me Lucky They called this town that too. First time luck don’t go that far This town changed too. I learnt how to press my luck to see what it would do. This place left me to pull my fate through. Watch the world around me, Like Balzac in his time. My dreams my only fortune, my thoughts my only crime. They used to call me Lucky, They called this town that too First time luck don’t go that far This town changed too I learnt how to press my luck to see what it would do. This place left me to pull my fate through. After you’ve met me, a portrait in your hand, A vague history of mixed up facts that disappear like sand. Take in the world around me, Like Balzac in his time. My dreams my only fortune, my thoughts my only crime. First time lucky, Third time too. Fourth time my luck struck out The last time too.

Paul and Silas bound in debt With some strength they'll get there yet. Keep your eyes on the prize hold on. Paul and Silas 'gan to shout World woke up and all walked out. Keep your eyes on the prize, hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Keep your eyes on the prize, hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Keep your eyes on the prize, hold on. The only chains that we can stand, Are the chains of hand in hand. Keep your eyes on the prize, hold on. Simple living, don't take but give, So that others can simply live. Keep your eyes on the prize, hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Keep your eyes on the prize, hold on. Hold on. Hold on.

It was the last time that I saw you I know that you weren't at your best, I could see past the confusion Take hold of your hand and leave, the rest. Between today and tomorrow The awkward space that's in between There's nothing left here to discover That's all there is here to be seen It takes away all of the Questioning what might have been Off guard the memories will catch me Trip up my tongue and my head. Let down I think through the moments Review everything, unsaid. Between today and tomorrow It opens up to claim this space. The weight that keeps us to this moment It closes in and makes its case It fills the room as it Holds my feelings in this place. The thoughts collide as I think back Way back beside the recent past Timelines refuse to keep their straight lines Crossing back like ragged dreams, outcast. Between today and tomorrow Carries the weight of what's too long It keeps me in this place refusing Attempts to fix what appears wrong. And in-between I stay Meanwhile you've already gone.

Beyond the clouds The North Star shines The road leads on And the South Wind tries To change my course as the path folds back on itself. Future hopes pull me, But memories hold me And everything has its own truth. The warming light pulls me The shadows they hold me The sky keeps us under its gaze. Beyond the clouds The North Star shines The road leads on And the South Wind tries To change my course as the path folds back on itself. Future hopes pull me, But memories hold me And everything has its own truth. The distance pulls me Your closeness enfolds me My love for you has no beginning and no end.

How did we end up here? At the horizon roads disappear After the highs the low come in, the journey runs aground I never thought I’d chart this strange countdown. How did it all end in this place? Running away from truths too hard to face The road we took takes us away from all that matters most How could I know that love can change to the hungriest of ghosts? Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars. Hold onto the space that keeps the light in your heart Rise above. Rise above. Rise above.

Fight with love. Fight with love. Fight with love. Unite with love. We met online. She blew my mind. She drew a line around our lives, opened my eyes. Fight with love. Fight with love. Fight with love. Unite with love. She said resist. Blew hate a kiss. She raised a fist We are the ones who can lead this. Fight with love. Fight with love. Fight with love. Unite with love. Fight with love. Fight with love. Fight with love. Unite with love. Her eyes they shone. She turned face-on. She raised her voice If all life matters why force a choice? Fight with love. Fight with love. Fight with love. Unite with love. Her voice was soft. She knew the costs. She raised her sights Love, and evolution, we'll make what's right. Fight with love. Fight with love. Fight with love. Unite with love.

We find ourselves in times of trouble. Strife and struggle fill our lives. When everybody's double speaking, You can’t tell the truth from lies. You gotta learn to keep your guard up. Down on the streets their sirens call. Today their words are weapons, The writings on the wall, the writings on the wall. A to B, everything is free. The costs will come when they tally the sum C to D they will claim their fee, At every point used to pin you down. A to Z, form the words in your head, But there are ways to twist them around. 1,2,3 screens replace what we see, The more they show, the blinder we become. All to one, it's a dangerous equation These are the times, these are the times One to none, a troublin' calculation These are the times, these are the times.

Here comes that sinking feeling In the stomach and the mind. The more you let your hopes up The further your behind. You listened to their promises Their story and their song. You thought you'd really get somewhere, And everything's now gone. They fooled you once They fooled you twice. There's no such thing as paradise You bought the dream in the empire of money. You bought the dream You paid the price There's no such thing as paradise They fooled you twice in the empire of money. Here's that sinking feeling The feeling you've been had. The solid opportunities, each one has turned out bad. They played upon your dreams The feelings were so true. You took them at their word, they turned the failure back on you. Here comes that sinking feeling In the stomach and the mind. You can't out-scheme the schemers When you buy into the empire of money.

Rescue me, Melody set me free Save my mind, Play the track and hit rewind. Rhythm and the harmony, the lyrics speak to everything, and open up my world to the sound. Takes me to another place, between the notes there is the space Reminds me where it is that I belong. Set the tone, Ride the beat and cue the drone. Words let go, Punctuate the audio. Bend the notes and take the break, And build the bridge, record the take It’s freedom that’s been set in 4/4 time. Sing the verse and middle eight, Define emotion and it takes The rhythm to meaning And reason to the rhyme. Rescue me, Set all my worries free. Play the sound, Lift the mood and turn me ‘around Rhythm and the harmony, the lyrics speak to everything, and open up my world to the sound. Takes me to another place, between the notes there is the space Reminds me where it is that I belong. Set the tone, Ride the beat and cue the drone. Words let go, Punctuate the audio. about

Some Times Are Everything by Jim Dandy Audio takes David Byrne-esque pop songs, infuses them with Motown R&B and mixes in touches of guitar rock & protest folktronica.

This is the fourth album by Canadian musician Jim Saper, but the first with vocals. The lyrics add well-crafted storytelling that reflects on life in turbulent times. Previously instrumental songs gain urgency and depth on this album, while new songs solidify Jim Dandy Audio’s mature and dynamic sound.

From chronicling the fate of the late Kasey Kasim (Oslo, Via Montreal); or folding taoism within an indie-ska jam (Daylight Savings Time); to honouring the words of Martin Luther King, Jr. (Freedom Song), this album pulls together wide ranging ideas shaping them into nuanced pop-rock tracks.

“Rhythm and the harmony,
The lyrics speak to everything and open up my world to the sound.”
